Datacard Sp35 Plus Drivers
I bought a Datacard SP55 Plus with USB connectivity second hand and am not able to detect it on 2 different computers so far.I can install the driver, but the thing is not getting detected. When you plug the power cable into the printer, does the status light initialize (displays colors) and then show steady green / ready to print?
Did you install the drivers prior to connecting the USB cable?I would examine the AC adapter to make sure that it is correctly matched for this printer and is providing the correct voltage required by the printer. I would also use a multimeter to confirm that the AC adapter is indeed outputting this spec voltage.

By: Jenna Brunger The Journey of a Cat Dissector Day 1: Day 5: The first day of cat dissection is obviously very exciting, it is a break from the normal routine of taking notes and then a test at the end of the week. The first day brought laughs and gags as we tried to skin the cat. To remove the skin you have to make cuts down the center of the abdominal region, down the legs and arms, around the paws genital area and neck. To remove the skin we slowly pried it up with our hands, using one to hold the cat and the other to pull up the skin. This part was difficult because the skin on our cat did not just come off, it took the right force and right angle to remove it. Today we finished skinning the cats and found the superficial muscles of the chest.
These muscles were hard to locate because it is hard to differentiate between the muscles and the connective tissue fibers. To find the muscles we used the rough edge of our scissors and scraped parallel to where the muscles was most likely located. This cleared connective tissue and fat but left the muscle in good condition.
These muscles will be some of the hardest to locate off sight on the cat. Day 2: We looked at the deep muscles of the chest. These were MUCH easier to find than the superficial.
It was very easy to separate them and tell them apart and there was much less connective tissue. Our cat had a very large scaleneous medius compared to other groups. The only thing we had trouble with was separating the layer of internal oblique and transverse abdominis. Day 3: We found the muscles in the arm today. Once you removed the layer of connective tissue it was easy to see the muscles and separate them but it was hard to tell which was which since there are so many in such a small area and some of the deeper muscles were visible. The easiest way to learn these muscles would be to start with the same muscle and go strait down the line every time.

Our brachiradialis was very large, suggesting that our cat was very strong. What surprised me most today was how many muscles are actually in the arm and how close to one another they are. Day 4: We dissected the lower leg today.
These muscles were not hard to find but difficult to identify. It took a while to get under the connective tissue and separate the muscles. Me and my partner found out today that you should NEVER cut anything unless you are 110% sure that it is not muscle. Cutting things can lead to big problems in the dissection process. On a scale of 1-10 the smell was at about a 2 since the cat was fresh out of its preservatives, but we quickly learned that it sticks to EVERYTHING!
-your clothes, hair, hands ect. SMELL-O-METER. MOMENT OF THE DAY. We were helping Mr. Spotts finish skinning a cat and when he ripped it back a bunch of juices flew strait at him, getting in his mouth and all over his face. The smell is slowly getting worse. At times it makes us queasy when dissecting and it to us ALL DAY LONG.
The smell is getting ridiculous. The best thing you can do is not think about it, after all they are decomposing cats! STANKY Deep chest muscles Superficial chest muscles Superficial muscles of arm Superficial muscles of the lower leg Day 6: The upper leg muscles were hard to dissect.
We weren't even close to finishing dissecting by the end of the hour. You have to be careful because it is hard to tell what is what on the cat from different angles. All the muscles are starting to get overwhelming and are easily confused with others. I'm starting to realize just how essential it is to review all previously learned muscles at the beginning of class and look at other cats. Your time in the lab is the ONLY time you have with these cats. Upper leg muscles Day 7: Cat dissection is no longer a 'fun and exciting experience'. Though its much easier to tell the difference between connective tissue and muscle because of all the practice we are getting.
We looked at the shoulders and upper arms today. They were easy to see but hard to uncover. The leg muscles and arm muscles in my brain are hard to tell apart.study study study time. Practically plugging my nose Tip of the day:thanks to non other than Mr. Spotts, i now use baby power in my gloves because it absorbs the smell so it doesn't enter the pores in your hands. Shoulders and Upper arms Day 8: The deep shoulder and back muscles were very easy to find.
The only part that gave us difficulty was remembering the complicated names! It was nice to have an easy day after all the hard days we have been having. Its getting closer and closer to the lab practical. Spotts gave us a DVD which is so helpful in reviewing at home. (10x better than the pictures!) Deep shoulder and back muscles review your muscles! Day 9: The final day! We looked at the neck muscles.
These were SUPER easy to find, which made it almost fun. The only somewhat challenging part was figuring out what the muscle was because some were so deep down. We cut the jugular vein which was a very interesting experience. I couldn't believe how big it was. Also we had to remove some glands which grossed me out. They didn't look like they belonged there. The masseters on our cat were huge!
They are my new favorite muscle. The neck muscles rank.
